The claim

AI product research tools find winning Amazon FBA products for guaranteed sales.

FTC actions against AI-branded Amazon store schemes were reported through 2024–2025.

How we checked

This is an evidence check, not a hands-on test. We reviewed platform rules and policies, published earnings data, regulator warnings and reporting: 4 sources, listed below.

What the evidence shows

No tool can guarantee a winning product, and Amazon already gives sellers its own product research data. Amazon's Product Opportunity Explorer, part of Seller Central, shows demand, competition and search volume. UK sellers pay £25 a month (excl. VAT) for a Professional plan plus referral fees mostly between 8% and 15%, and a 2025 Jungle Scout survey found 40% of sellers cited rising costs as a top challenge. The FTC alleged that one firm's heavily promoted AI product-sourcing technology did not exist.

Realistic earnings: The sources show substantial fees and rising costs for sellers; they do not show that paid AI research tools reliably lead to profitable products.

Limitations

Earnings ranges are typical outcomes for a beginner, drawn from the sources; some people do far better or worse. Platform rules change often, so check the latest policy before you start.
