Earnings on these platforms are heavily concentrated: Roblox says its top 10 creators averaged $65.7 million in the year to June 2026, but the median participant in its cash-out programme received about $1,500. Stores also restrict AI content; Unity's Asset Store requires disclosure and rejects AI assets that lack significant value or have anatomical errors, and itch.io may delist asset pages without AI disclosure. Competition is growing, with about 20% of Steam games released in the first half of 2025 disclosing generative AI.

Realistic earnings: Even among Roblox creators who earn enough to cash out, the median was about $1,500 a year. Low-effort AI asset packs face rejection or disclosure labels, so most beginners should expect small or no returns.
