The claim

Mass-produce AI pins on Pinterest and earn passive affiliate commissions.

Pinterest's AI labels and filters drew coverage in 2025, and 404 Media reported on AI content on the platform in February 2026.

How we checked

This is an evidence check, not a hands-on test. We reviewed platform rules and policies, published earnings data, regulator warnings and reporting: 5 sources, listed below.

What the evidence shows

Pinterest is labelling AI-generated pins and letting users filter them out, which works against the idea of mass-producing AI images for traffic. It began adding 'AI modified' labels in 2025, detected through image metadata and classifiers, and tested a 'see fewer' option, starting with beauty and art. In October 2025 it let users limit AI content in their feeds across beauty, art, fashion and home decor. 404 Media reported in February 2026 that users say their feeds are dominated by AI images, and none of the sources we checked show typical affiliate earnings from AI pins.

Realistic earnings: The sources contain no reliable data on what beginners earn. Expect AI pins to be labelled, and some users in the biggest lifestyle categories will have chosen to see fewer of them.

Limitations

Earnings ranges are typical outcomes for a beginner, drawn from the sources; some people do far better or worse. Platform rules change often, so check the latest policy before you start.
