The claim
Sell AI product photos with AI backgrounds and models to online sellers.
Amazon and Shopify have both shipped built-in AI image tools, and Amazon's AI-model disclosure rule was reported by eWeek in July 2026.

What the evidence shows
The big selling platforms now give their merchants AI product-image tools at no extra cost, which undercuts a paid middleman service. Amazon Ads says its AI image generator is free and makes lifestyle and brand-themed images from product details, including in the UK, and Shopify's help centre says media generation (background replacement, prompt-based edits) is available on all plans at no additional cost for a limited time. Using AI models also brings compliance work: Amazon now requires sellers to tag images containing photorealistic AI-generated people, following a New York law in force from June 2026. Academic research also found image-creation job posts on a large freelancing platform fell 17% after image-generating AI arrived.
Realistic earnings: Sellers on Amazon and Shopify can now do basic AI backgrounds themselves at no extra cost, so a beginner would need to offer something those tools do not. The sources do not give earnings figures for this service.
Limitations
Earnings ranges are typical outcomes for a beginner, drawn from the sources; some people do far better or worse. Platform rules change often, so check the latest policy before you start.
