The claim

Build sites in minutes with AI and sell them to local businesses..

AI site builders and 'vibe coding' tools made this a popular pitch in 2025–26, but it gets little journalistic coverage.

How we checked

This is an evidence check, not a hands-on test. We reviewed platform rules and policies, published earnings data, regulator warnings and reporting: 2 sources, listed below.

What the evidence shows

Building a site with AI is genuinely fast, but small businesses can use the same cheap builders themselves, so a plain site is worth less. The money is in finding clients, ongoing maintenance and local SEO, which is ordinary sales and service work. People who are good at outreach can earn steadily; most give up after a run of rejections.

Realistic earnings: A few clients at £200–£800 each in year one is realistic for someone persistent; many land none.

Limitations

Earnings ranges are typical outcomes for a beginner, drawn from the sources; some people do far better or worse. Platform rules change often, so check the latest policy before you start.

VerdictWorks with limits

Works for some, not most.
