What the evidence shows

TikTok lets creators earn TikTok Shop commissions on AI-generated videos if they disclose the AI use and avoid misleading claims, according to Wall Street Journal reporting summarised in July 2026. But some brands, including SharkNinja, have said affiliates who promote their products with AI-generated content will have their commissions cancelled. TikTok also gives sellers its own AI Video Maker, so affiliates compete with brands generating videos themselves, and Go Fish Digital cites affiliate creator numbers rising from 2.3 million in 2024 to about 11.3 million. Demand is real, with US TikTok Shop sales projected by eMarketer at $23.41 billion this year, but the field is crowded and brand rules vary.

Realistic earnings: The sources give no typical commission earnings for AI-made affiliate videos. Before using AI on a product, check the brand's affiliate terms, as some cancel commissions for AI content.

Limitations

Earnings ranges are typical outcomes for a beginner, drawn from the sources; some people do far better or worse. Platform rules change often, so check the latest policy before you start.
